Online Training Session: Obesity - What are the main influencing factors and the most innovative treatments?

The next day May 26th at 13:45 (Canary time), the General Council of Official Colleges of Pharmacists, with the sponsorship of Lilly and Novo Nordisk, will hold the online training session titled «Obesity: What are the main contributing factors and the newest treatments?» addressed to all interested pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.

 

OBJECTIVES

 

During this session, which will be led by a physician and a pharmacist-nutritionist, the main new developments in therapeutics and the multidisciplinary approach to people living with obesity will be discussed, based on two real-life cases from different care settings. The key takeaways will be provided from a very practical perspective. This is the second of three mini-webinars in the health campaign “Obesity: Beyond Weight. The Pharmacy's Key Role in Prevention and Management,” which is taking place between March and September 2025.

 

PARTICIPANTS

 

  • Raquel Varas Doval Pharmaceutical. Head of the Health Campaigns Area of the General Council of Official Colleges of Pharmacists.
  • Christopher Morales. Endocrinology and Nutrition Specialist Doctor at Vithas Hospital in Seville, and board member of SEEDO (Spanish Obesity Society).
  • Felipe Mozo. Community pharmacist and nutritionist in Cádiz. Regional Governor of Nutrition. Vice-president of the COF of Cádiz. Researcher at INiBICA CO1-INMOX Group (Inflammation, Nutrition, Metabolism, and Oxidative Stress).

 


 

The session will be held using the “GoToWebinar” tool, which allows questions to be asked through the enabled chat functionality.
