We propose a new training activity for members, ACTUALIZAMED, which we will hold periodically and free of charge at our headquarters. You can attend in person or by videoconference.
Various subjects will be covered in a maximum of two hours with the help of expert professionals who will accompany us on this experience, sharing their daily clinical practice combined with the necessary theory for the session. This will allow you to update yourself on therapeutics related to a dynamic and engaging methodology.
Additionally, prior to the activity, recommended readings will be provided so that those interested in the topic can have a repository of truthful, official, and verified information that they can review whenever they need it. These will be compiled for attendees in the designated space for this purpose in the Virtual Campus Tabaiba
With the intention of facilitating access for those colleagues who have difficulty traveling to our headquarters, it will also be broadcast by videoconference. CANCELLATION POLICY
Withdrawal by a registered student from a course must be communicated via email to desarrollopro@coflaspalmas.es. If places are limited, cancellation must be communicated at least 5 days before the start of the course, extending this period to 48 hours if there is no limit on places.
In the event that access to the activity is free of charge, the COFLP reserves the right to charge a €10 penalty for non-attendance without sufficient prior cancellation to cover the spot that another registered member might require.
The number of registered participants affects the viability of the course. The scheduled training actions have a minimum and maximum number of spots to fill. If the foreseen minimum is not met, the College may suspend them.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease of autoimmune origin and etiology unknown. It is characterized by the predominance of joint manifestations produced due to chronic inflammation of the synovial membrane and tendon sheaths, but also because can manifest extra-articularly affecting various organs, thereby behaving as a multisystemic disease.

- Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory disorder that can affect not only the joints but also other parts of the body. Signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis often include: * **Joint pain, swelling, warmth and redness:** These symptoms typically affect small joints first, like those in the fingers and toes, and often occur symmetrically (affecting both sides of the body). * **Joint stiffness, especially in the morning:** This stiffness can last for more than an hour and is a hallmark symptom. * **Fatigue:** A profound sense of tiredness and lack of energy is common. * **Fever:** Low-grade fever can occur. * **Loss of appetite and weight loss:** These can accompany the systemic inflammation. * **Lumps under the skin (rheumatoid nodules):** These are firm bumps that often form around pressure points, such as the elbows. * **Problems in other organs:** Rheumatoid arthritis can affect the eyes (dryness, inflammation), lungs (inflammation, scarring), heart (inflammation around the heart), and blood vessels (inflammation).
