The next December 12, the Assembly Hall of Humanities at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will host the First Conference on the Prevention of Suicidal Behavior in Youth and Minors. This event is organized by the School of Health and Social Services of the Canary Islands (ESSSCAN), the Vice-Ministry of Physical Activity and Sports of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports and the General Directorate of Mental Health and Addictions of Canary Islands Health Service.
The main objective is the prevention of suicidal behavior and improvement in treatment.
These sessions are aimed at sports professionals and healthcare professionals, including Mental Health, Public Health, Primary Care, and other specialties. They are also open to professionals in the clinical field, such as managers and key non-healthcare professionals in areas such as Education, Sports, Social Rights, Children, Youth, Employment, Housing, Justice, as well as involved associations.
Additionally, the presentations can be followed by any interested professional, as they will be broadcast live via streaming.
