Relevance
The pharmacist, as an expert in medication, must have consistency and knowledge of how each patient's genetics influences their response to any pharmacological treatment they may receive, and, when carrying out pharmacotherapeutic follow-up, know to what extent it can affect them to assess possible communication with other healthcare professionals or reporting to pharmacovigilance.
Objective
To awaken interest in pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics, which are inherent to medication, and to raise awareness of the important contribution pharmacists can make to their development and implementation.
Conditions for obtaining credit
Activity accredited by the Continuing Education Commission of Health Professions of Aragon with 0.6 continuing education credits.
