The School of Health and Social Services of the Canary Islands (ESSSCAN),in collaboration with the Department of Education for Prevention of the Island Council of Tenerife will launch, during the year 2026, the II Preventive School with an island-based training itinerary aimed at professionals and interested individuals.
This itinerary conceives education for prevention to update knowledge and develop skills for health improvement, including prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.
In the present Island Conference, the Rectorate, the Vice-Rectorate for Students, and the Vice-Rectorate for Teaching of the University of La Laguna have participated through the PITE Program (2025-2026). It is aimed at healthcare professionals, educators, other professionals, social agents, and students of the ULL, and it is the third of the training events of the 2nd Edition of the Preventive School.
The Insular Journey is free and will feature accreditation For the attendees.
Goals
General:
Promote awareness, sensitization, and prevention of chronic, rare, and emerging diseases through a multidisciplinary approach that allows for understanding the characteristics and challenges of these diseases and drives coordinated responses from different areas of action.
