
Introduction
Phytotherapy has been used by humanity since time immemorial as a tool for the pursuit of health and well-being. Throughout the history of pharmacy, the knowledge and management of medicinal plants have always been present and constantly evolving, positioning the pharmacist as an expert with rigor and guarantees in this therapeutic practice.
Consultations about medicinal plants are frequent in pharmacies, and pharmacists play a fundamental role in meeting users' demand for this alternative to solve or alleviate their health problems.
Content
To facilitate the basic concepts for advising on medicinal plant-based preparations and nutritional supplements most suitable for each patient. Guidelines are also offered for the optimal management of the natural category to ensure correct implementation in the community pharmacy, where the pharmacist, as a medication expert, can provide better service to the user of these.
