Earlobe piercing is a common procedure performed to insert earrings and other ornaments. Although some people opt to get piercings at less-than-reputable establishments, it's important to note that this practice can carry significant risks, including infections, nerve damage, and allergic reactions.

Pharmacists, as healthcare professionals, are trained to attempt to prevent these types of unwanted effects through proper piercing practices, and can also offer advice and recommendations to help patients and users disinfect their piercings safely and effectively.

With this intention, this workshop has been organized for pharmacists from the Dermopharmacy Department of the COF Las Palmas.
