
The next March 11, the ASEAN will be held in the University of La Laguna one Scientific Committee on Food Safety and Social Aspects Meeting.
During the meeting, various reports from the Scientific Committee related to social issues will be presented, including:
- The nutritional status of the immigrant population.
- The impact of visual impairment on eating habits.
- The risk associated with consuming certain potentially allergenic foods.
- Fructose intolerance.
Also, reports will be presented focusing on women's health issues, such as:
- The effects of certain obesogenic compounds.
- The nutritional situation regarding iodine intake.
- Nutritional Risks During Menopause.
The conference will also include the presentation of two international cooperation projects and a Round table with representatives from the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and the 2030 Agenda, the AESAN Scientific Committee, the Red Cross, and the Association of Affected Individuals with Hereditary Fructose Intolerance.
The event will take place in In-person modality and it will also be possible to follow online.
