ONCE commemorates COFLP's centenary with a special lottery ticket on December 29

The centenary of the Official College of Pharmacists of Las Palmas is the reason for the ONCE lottery ticket for Monday, December 29, the day the COFLP celebrates its first hundred years since its creation. Five million tickets will carry this celebration throughout Spain. The ticket will be on sale starting December 24. José Antonio López, ONCE delegate in the Canary Islands, and Loreto Gómez, president of the Official College of Pharmacists of Las Palmas, presented this coupon, accompanied by Yurena García, president of the ONCE Territorial Council in the Canary Islands. Mr. López, on behalf of ONCE, congratulated the College of Pharmacists of Las Palmas on its centenary and very positively highlighted the opportunity this meeting offers to promote new lines of collaboration between both institutions. The goal is to guarantee the best possible care for the group of blind or severely visually impaired people, who, like the rest of the citizens, find pharmacies to be an essential service. The Official College of Pharmacists of Las Palmas It originated in 1925, and its constitution was formalized with a first Board attended by 24 pharmacists who appointed the institution's first government. One year after its establishment, the first female pharmacist in Las Palmas registered with the college, and within five years, there were 37 registered members. The College currently has 1,200 registered members. Its mission is to meet the needs of pharmaceutical professionals within its territorial scope, represent the collective before institutions in defense of their interests, and actively participate in social action that promotes and facilitates healthy habits and disease prevention. All of this, by involving registered members in both active and informative ways. The COFLP wants to ensure the provision of quality pharmaceutical services and establish the necessary ties with patient groups, social institutions, and political bodies to be an active part in the development of society, especially in all matters related to health.
