The new Governing Board takes office, accompanied by health authorities.

The new Governing Board of the Official College of Pharmacists of Las Palmas, chaired by Loreto Gómez Guedes, took office accompanied by some of the main representatives of healthcare institutions and entities. In her speech, Loreto Gómez highlighted precisely that this unity is a shows the reality of the collaboration and commitment that unites us all for the good of our community and in close coordination with the rest of the country. Among those present were the Minister of Health of the Canary Islands Government, Esther Monzón; the president of the General Council of Official Pharmaceutical Colleges (CGCOF), Jesús Aguilar; the rector of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), Lluis Serra; the dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Fernando Pessoa University, Dionisio Lorenzo; the vice-dean of the Faculty of Health of the Atlantic Middle University, Aday Infante; as well as presidents of the professional colleges of Physicians, Psychologists, and Physiotherapists, representatives of the colleges of Veterinarians, Dentists, and Nursing, patient associations, pharmaceutical cooperatives, pharmaceutical professional associations, former presidents of the College, and other entities linked to the COFLP.

The counselor highlighted the collaboration and the willingness that the pharmaceutical professional colleges of the Canary Islands have always shown in improving healthcare services and pharmaceutical benefits: They were the first to meet with me when I took office as counselor., he said, and they have always shown their willingness and interest in collaborating on all matters concerning public health.

For his part, the president of the CGCOF took the opportunity to highlight the importance of pharmacists in the healthcare system, recalling their presence in rural and remote areas away from centers with healthcare infrastructure.

Both Monzón and Aguilar agreed in highlighting the collaborative role that COFLP has had with the institutions they represent.
