A thorough understanding of the various tools and resources available to pharmaceutical professionals for resolving daily inquiries, as well as for making decisions regarding the dispensing of medications and healthcare products, is fundamental for correct patient care. For this reason, organized by the Pharmacy Office Department of the COFLP, headed by Rocío Pulido, the first workshop «Dispensing Classroom: how to leverage available dispensing aid tools» was held. This was a practical training session organized by the Pharmacy Office Department, which reviewed the tools and resources available to community pharmacies for resolving daily inquiries and making decisions about dispensing medications and healthcare products. Approximately thirty registered pharmacists participated in the workshop.
Key concepts were addressed during the workshop, such as price changes and substitutions of medications and medical devices. Frequent questions about paper prescriptions, electronic prescriptions, and veterinary prescriptions were also resolved.
The workshop was conducted using a practical methodology focused on real-world examples. Attendees utilized available resources—Bot Plus, the COF website, infographics created by the COF, etc.—to resolve doubts and efficiently optimize decision-making at the counter.

The training was provided by Mercedes Herrera Sánchez-Maroto and María Isabel Ávila Pallarés, pharmacists from the Professional Response and Dispensing Services Department of the Official College of Pharmacists of Las Palmas.
